Chemainus Lake is a great place to take your furry friend for a walk. This 2.4km novice loop is great exercise for you and your pet! Bonus: you are also able to let your dog off-leash here for a fun romp in the park!
Kin Beach Park is yet another place for you and your pet to spend some time! Dogs are allowed off-leash here from October 1 – June 15 annually. This area is a shared space so proper supervision of your pup is very important so that everyone can have a great experience!

COME EXPERIENCE CHEMAINUS THIS FALL
A winding road off the highway takes you down to the coastal community of Chemainus. As you drive down the main street you will take notice of the unique architecture of the Chemainus Theatre and boutique shops like Silvermine, La Petit Auction House, and Calypso Jewelry which line the road.
To truly experience Chemainus the trip should begin in the heart of the town at Waterwheel Park. There, is a park for the kids, and a labyrinth for you to walk through. Take a moment of peace beneath the canopying trees. A trip to the visitor’s center is next, just to your right of the park. Chemainus Visitors Center has all the updated information, attractions, and maps that you may need.
Stroll the streets of the town, taking time to stop at the plethora of antique stores, like Willow Street Antique Mall. Don’t forget to stop in at one of the world-class eateries in town; whether you are stopping at Pho Triple 7, Archies Diner, or one of the many other establishments, you are sure to get exquisite food and service.
What trip to Chemainus is complete without a scenic walk? Chemainus Lake Trail is a stunning 2.4km loop that is stroller accessible and has a beautiful dock!
